PETALING JAYA - The WhatsApp message by PAS central committee member Dr. Zuhdi Marzuki on Tuesday shows the true colours of PAS, which wants power to form an Islamic state despite DAP’s effort to paint PAS as a moderate party for all Malaysians.
“We are not surpised by his message… he (Dr. Zuhdi) wants PAS leaders to quit the Pakatan Rakyat coalition and join forces with Khalid Ibrahim and UMNO to retain power in Selangor,” said MCA Youth national chairman Senator Chong Sin Woon.
“It shows nothing but the fox hiding under the sheep skin of DAP, finally revealing its tail,” he said.
MCA Youth has always been vocal against the politics of convenience of Pakatan Rakyat, he said.
“It has no true objective in the interests of the people. Its only objective is to gain power to satisfy the craving of their leaders,” Chong said.
“UMNO, as the coalition partner of MCA, will never take the bait offered by PAS just for gaining power in Selangor,” he said.
He added the Barisan Nasional respects the decision of the people and will wrest Selangor back in the next elections.
“Our track record speaks for themselves – no matter how hard our political opponents try and have tried to lie about them,” he said.
“At the very least, we are not a pact of convenience. We are not a coalition that practises policies at the expense of others. We are a coalition of consensus for all Malaysians,” he said.
