Weak earthquake hits off the coast of Lahad Datu in Sabah

A weak earthquake, measuring 3.3 on the Richter scale, struck off the coast of Lahad Datu in Sabah today, causing tremors.

The Meteorological Department said there was no threat of a tsunami following the quake which occurred at 10.36am.

The epicentre of the quake was 25km southeast of Lahad Datu, it said in a statement.
