Explosive ISIS leak of top secret documents is 'goldmine' for MI6
Leaked ISIS personnel files on foreign fighters - including Brits - are a 'goldmine' of information about the sinister terror group, a jihadi expert claims.
Yesterday an Arab news source obtained 1,736 documents that have been stamped with the sinister black flag of the 'caliphate' which has cut a swathe of terror through the Middle East.
Former global terrorism operations director at MI6 Richard Barrett told Sky News: "It's a fantastic coup.
"And it will be an absolute goldmine of information of enormous significance and interest to very many people, particularly the security and intelligence services."
British jihadis are named in the files, including Reyaad Khan, who was 21 years old, when he was killed in an RAF drone strike in Syria.
Another name on the list is Junaid Hussain, the head of Islamic State's media wing.
Before he was killed in a drone strike he planned attacks on the UK with his wife former punk Sally Jones, who is still on the run.
According to the files, ISIS recruited jihadists from over 40 countries worldwide including Iran and Russia.
A total of 72% of them are Arabs and most ISIS fighters are Saudi, Tunisian, Moroccan and Egyptian and a quarter are Saudis.
Turkish fighters take the lead among ISIS 'foreign' fighters and militants from France are the next biggest group.
The news agency only published a small portion of the leak but it is believed the rest will come out over the coming days.
Just 1.7% of Syrians comprise the total number of fighters and just 1.2% of Iraqis.
The most famous British ISIS fighter was Mohammed Emwazi, AKA 'Jihadi John', a 27-year-old Londoner who beheaded captives, including two Brits, and was killed in an air strike in November.
As many as 50 kids from the UK are growing up in the twisted 'caliphate' of ISIS, a terrifying report into "one of the gravest situations on earth” has revealed.
Terrorists are indoctrinating innocent children to follow their twisted version of Islam, making them numb to violence and training them in military techniques from a young age, the anti-extremist Qulliam Foundation found.
Children are normally abducted and forced to join Islamic State, but some 'Cubs of the Caliphate' are joining the group out of fear - a sinister parallel with the Nazi's Hitler Youth.
