Group lodges report against TV1 broadcaster for distorting news

KOTA KINABALU - Pertubuhan Angkatan Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (Agaras) has lodged a police report after a 31-second video went viral over social media on Wednesday.

The video showed what looked like a television news anchor attached with the Malaysian public broadcaster (TV1) labelling the Abu Sayyaf group as Catholics.

Agaras President Michael Frederick lodged the report at the Penampang police headquarters at about 3.05pm on Wednesday and urged the broadcaster as well as the news anchor to issue a public apology, if indeed, the incident took place.
