Puzzling motive for killing real estate agent

PETALING JAYA - Relatives of a real estate agent shot dead in Taman OUG yesterday have described her as “a good person”.

Star Online reported that they were puzzled as to the motive for the killing as she had no problem with anyone.

“We’ve never heard of any threats to kill her,” said a relative.

Her family members were left in shock and confusion by the shooting which took place outside a restaurant in Jalan Hujan Mas at 2.30pm.

The woman, aged 32, had driven a Toyota Vellfire with her five children and a maid to the restaurant before planning a trip to Penang.

Two men on a motorcycle drew alongside and five shots were fired at her, hitting her in the neck and also her daughter, aged eight, sitting beside her.

The daughter is now in serious condition at the University Malaya Medical Centre.

Police are now studing closed circuit television camera footage taken in the area. They believe the hitman had been waiting outside the restaurant for her to come out.

They are also expected to question the woman’s husband, a businessman who spends most of his time in China, to throw some light on the shooting.
