Matrade employee missing since July 30

PETALING JAYA - An employee from the Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (Matrade) Ahmad Shazali Zakaria (pic) has been reported missing since July 30.

His father Datuk Zakaria Kamaruddin, who is also the former deputy head of the corporation, said that Ahmad Shazali was last seen on CCTV leaving the Matrade Centre at Jalan Duta after finishing work at about 4.20pm.

Zakaria said that according to the footage he was driving his Proton Gen 2 with the number plate BJF2455.

While Zakaria said that he doesn’t know if his son had received any threats against him, he revealed that Ahmad Shazali had complained about financial and family issues to his father.

Zakaria said that he would be giving his statement to Sentul police soon, and that a previous report was made by a colleague of Ahmad Shazali earlier in Subang.

When contacted, Sentul OCPD Asst Comm R. Munusamy confirmed the missing person’s case.

Members of the public with any information about the whereabouts of Ahmad Shazali are urged to contact the nearest police station.
