Kit Siang flip-flops again, now willing to work with Umno and PAS to 'save Malaya'

After creating waves for saying he was willing to work with PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang to save Malaysia, DAP stalwart Lim Kit Siang now says he is prepared to work with top BN leaders, including Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak.

Today, Lim said he is prepared to meet MCA, Gerakan, as well as other senior BN leaders, including Najib, to discuss how to “purge and cleanse Malaysia of infamy and ignominy” of being regarded worldwide as a global kleptocracy.

"I am prepared to work not only with Hadi, but with the prime minister and Umno president Najib Razak, MCA president Liow Tiong Lai, Gerakan president Mah Siew Keong, MIC president Dr S Subramaniam and all the Sabah and Sarawak BN leaders.

"I am prepared to meet Liow and Mah any place, anytime in the next 72 hours. Will they have to get Umno approval before responding?" he asked at a press conference.

Yesterday, Lim denied that his willingness to work with Hadi, despite the latter's insistence on seeing through the amendments to the Syariah Courts (Criminal Jurisdiction) Act 1965, or Act 355, was hypocrisy or U-turn, because saving Malaysia and fighting kleptocracy was the priority and paramount compared to any other issue.

BN leaders, including MCA youth chief Chong Sin Woon, had slammed Lim over the remark, saying the latter was willing to work with Hadi for political expediency or to win Putrajaya by any means.
