Police have spoken to Peter Chong over missing pastor case

SERDANG - Police have recorded a statement from former Petaling Jaya councillor Peter Chong, who says he has information on the abduction of Pastor Raymond Koh.

The statement was recorded on April 19, Selangor CID chief Senior Asst Comm Fadzil Ahmat said after a visit to Hospital Serdang in conjunction with the 210th Police Day on Wednesday.

Pastor Koh was abducted from his car by a group of men on Feb 13, and CCTV footage showed at least 15 men and three black SUVs involved in the abduction.

Police later said that investigations indicate Pastor Koh's abduction may have been connected to his attempt to spread Christianity in northern Malaysia.

Earlier in April, Chong was also reported missing not long after posting on his Facebook page on March 31 that he was warned to be careful because many people were going missing.

Chong had actually travelled to Thailand, saying he went there to meet a source who allegedly had information on the missing Pastor Koh.

Chong, who served as personal assistant to Subang MP R. Sivarasa for a few years until 2015, claimed that he was instead kidnapped in Haadyai town and taken to Pattaya where he was later released.
