IGP: Jamal Yunos sneaked out of Malaysia

KUALA LUMPUR - Police believe that Sg Besar Umno division chief Datuk Seri Jamal Yunos used a hidden route to get out of the country.

Inspector-General of police Tan Sri Mohamad Fuzi Harun said that this was because there was no record of Jamal leaving legally.

"We believed he used a hidden route and that he is in Indonesia. I have also personally requested our counterparts in Indonesia to help track him down and they have agreed," he said at a press conference on Thursday (June 7).

Mohamad Fuzi said that police have an idea of where Jamal could be hiding and they are doing everything possible to locate him.

"We also do not have any record of him leaving the country legally. I have also contacted my counterpart in Brunei to assist us in this matter," he said.
