KUALA LUMPUR - Despite being a thorn in the flesh to its leadership recently, Khairy Jamaluddin has maintained that he is still loyal to Umno.
“I am loyal to my party,” he told reporters in the Parliament lobby on Tuesday (July 17).
The Rembau MP dismissed rumours that he might be quitting Umno, following recent disparaging remarks against the party.
Yesterday, the former Umno Youth chief had also refused to join his party colleagues in a staged walkout to protest against the appointment of the Speaker for the 14th Parliamentary session.
Khairy, however, refused to comment on Annuar’s remarks, as he said it’s the Ketereh MP’s prerogative to comment on party matters in public.
“He can choose to do so. But I’m not going to do that,” he added.
