Hishammuddin, who is also the Sembrong member of parliament, said the announcement would be made during the 206th Police Day celebration.
"I will not elaborate on the setting up the RCI to probe the Lahad Datu intrusion as the PM will reveal the details during the 206th Police Day which will take place on Monday.
"The ministry will focus on further strengthening the Royal Malaysia Police, particularly the marine police, VAT 69 commando team, the General Operations Force and the Special Action Unit.
"The ministry will also expedite the construction of seven police stations that have been identified in Kampung Bum-Bum, Pulau Banggi and Pulau Gaya and five in Sabah Immigration headquarters as soon as possible," he said.
Meanwhile, he said the ministry would work together with international intelligence agencies including the Philippine national intelligence agency, the National Intelligence Coordinating Agency (NICA) to investigate the mastermind behind the intrusion.
He said the move was mooted to ensure stability and there is constant monitoring of the country's security.
"Our intelligence agencies will work closely with NICA to establish the identity of the mastermind behind the intrusion and that justice is delivered.
"We will strengthen the cooperation among the network of intelligence agencies including Indonesia to ensure that the stability and security in the region are not compromised, and prevent the infiltration of terrorists."
"The cooperation of intelligence agencies will ensure that the latest information, including any third party that wants to trigger chaos such as the Kiram family or organisations and individuals such as Nur Misuari, the Jemaah Islamiah (JI), Dar al-Islam or certain politicians could be nipped in the bud," he said after launching the GIATMARA Sembrong, in Taman Seri Lambak, here, yesterday.

2. THE UMNO engineered invasion of illegals to dominate Sabah and Sarawak with a Muslim vote bank in breach of the 18/20 Points Agreement.
3. The UMNO linked Sulu Invasion of Sabah
The "failure" of intelligence was not a failure as the ex-general clearly pointed out. It was a diversion of resources for political purposes. This was seen the stopping of aerial surveillance by UMNO in 1995 to allow its hired gun Abu Sayyaf to smuggle 1 million illegals into Sabah.
UMNO was also involved in the diversion of funds of $US100 million provided by Libya to pay Abi Sayyaf. This led to kidnappings by Abu Sayyaf which was also used as a coverUP for payment of its smuggling fees. UMNO short paid them and $90 million went missing. Ever wonder why they killed Gaddafi?
So UMNO was directly involved in people smuggling and kidnappings in Sabah in breach of duty to protect Sabah rights and border integrity.
With this track record would you re-elect UMNO?

ReplyDeleteTerdahulu, mantan Perdana Menteri, Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad mencadangkan agar kerajaan persekutuan menubuhkan RCI dan membuka kertas putih bagi menyiasat dakwaan penglibatan pihak ketiga dalam insiden pencerobohan militan Sulu di Lahad Datu.
