FMT LETTER: From Melvin Chin, via e-mail
I refer to the actions by Ng Wei Aik, the state assemblyman for Komtar, taken against Mohamed Aliyar, the operator of a Mamak stall in Gat Lebuh Macalum, Penang.
The action by the political secretary to Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng is clearly absurd and speaks of arrogance on the part of the DAP-led state government.
Consider the following points:
1 Why is Ng acting as if he is an MPPP enforcer? (A video footage shows him carrying the gas cylinder out from the shop). (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sqJmvvoQN_k)
2 Ng is ADUN for Komtar and the CM’s political secretary. How can he intrude into the area of Pengkalan Kota under Lau Keng Ee?
3 There is no reason whatsoever for Ng to appear and it is not his job to accompany the MPPP officers, what more springing into action.
4 This is truly an abuse of power by DAP and Parti Cinta Malaysia demands an explanation from the exco of local government, Chow Kon Yow and the Chief Minister himself.
