Villagers near Kampung Tanduo in Lahad Datu, where security forces had engaged in an operation against armed Sulu gunmen in February, are spooked by strange "encounters" and "sightings", reported Sinar Harian.
Those from Felda Sahabat 17, where some of the fiercest fighting took place, claimed to have spotted strange sights while driving on the road to Lahad Datu.
Recalling his frightful experience, villager Abdul Hadi, 30, claimed that he saw a human shadow crossing the main road on a rainy night.
"I was driving and nearly knocked into it. When I looked to the right, it disappeared. I even got out from my car to check the nearby bushes to make sure I didn't knock into anyone but there was nothing there.
"Suddenly there was this eerie feeling. I immediately rushed into my car and drove off," he said.
Another villager, who wanted to be known as Mat, said he had heard a man shouting from an oil palm plantation near his house.
"My wife also heard it. We decided to call the police but then, just as suddenly, the shouting stopped," he said.
Security forces personnel station-ed in the area had also reported strange incidences during their night rounds, such as cries for help and sounds of gunshots.
The opposition leaders who often made empty promises because they could not honour them.
ReplyDeleteDon't get me started with that bunch! They were more interested in getting the power to rule and not in defending the interests of the people as shown by what has happened in states controlled by the opposition.
