Raja Bomoh teachings to be declared deviant

The Perak Fatwa Council will be issuing a fatwa to gazette the infamous Raja Bomoh, whose real name is Ibrahim Mat Zin, as deviant.

Mufti Tan Sri Harussani Zakaria confirmed that a decision to issue the fatwa was made at a meeting and several processes, including getting the approval of Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah, was underway.

"The practices and teachings of Raja Bomoh will soon be gazetted as "haram" and "sesat" for deviating from religion," he said.

The controversial bomoh was most famous for his stunt conducting rituals at KLIA with coconuts, bamboo binoculars, walking canes, a fishing trap and a carpet during the MH370 tragedy
