Azmin: PAS and DAP should stop bickering

Selangor Mentri Besar Mohamed Azmin Ali today urged for both DAP and PAS for a ceasefire to resolve their differences which has resulted in a rift within the coalition.

"There is no need for any parties to issue any challenges towards each other. Pakatan Rakyat's strength lies (on the fact) that we can talk it out (while) respecting each other.

"Therefore, I am appealing to each party's top leaders to respect one another and bring this (issue of differences between them) to be discussed," he said in a news conference after attending Yayasan Selangor's Education Awards ceremony here.

Azmin Ali, who is also Parti Keadilan Rakyat's (PKR) deputy president, also said that the party will continue to play the role of a mediator until the issue between its two political allies is ceased.

He added that PKR will also call for a meeting between the two political parties to resolve the issue.

"We will need to get the consensus among the top three leaders and hopefully agree on a mutual date as soon as possible because there are also other issues which needs to be ironed out before the proceeding Parliament (session) on 11th Malaysia Plan (11MP)

All three parties must sit down immediately," he said.

He also called on both DAP and PAS to stop using the media as a mudslinging platform to air their differences.

"Please go back to the drawing board and discuss on this issue," he stressed.
