Islamic State terrorists recruiting Malaysian kids now

Some 500 children are being trained at the group's two camps in Syria.

KUALA LUMPUR - The Islamic State (IS) militant group has started training its crosshairs on children now, with two camps training kids found in Syria.

Bukit Aman Principal assistant director of Counter Terrorism Division SAC Ayob Khan Mydin Pitchay said there are about 500 children being trained in both camps.

“They are trained so that they can launch attacks when they return to their home countries,” he told reporters after speaking at the Islamic State Seminar: Jihad vs Militancy forum at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia today.

The police however, do not have information if any Malaysian children are placed in any of these camps.
