Parliament is dead: Tawfik

KUALA LUMPUR - Mohamed Tawfik Ismail, son of the late deputy prime minister Tun Dr Ismail, today accused Dewan Rakyat Speaker Tan Sri Pandikar Amin Mulia of treason for allowing the RUU355 amendment bill to be tabled in the Parliament today.

He said in a statement the fact that Pandikar had allowed the amendment bill to be tabled by PAS president Datuk Seri Hadi Awang in the Dewan Rakyat today showed that the Parliament was dead.

He also said Pandikar had reneged on his oath of office to protect and defend the Federal Constitution. - Mysinchew
