KOTA KINABALU - The promotion, which runs until May 31, is being held in conjunction with Kaamatan or Harvest Festival.
For the next three days, Maxis users in Kota Kinabalu can enjoy free Uber rides in conjunction with the Kaamatan or Harvest Festival.
Maxis Sabah head Ng Chak Khin told The Star that the rides would be available for the first 10,000 customers. Until May 31, Maxis and Hotlink users can get four free rides worth a total of RM36 by keying in the promo code MAXIS4GKK.
Ng said Maxis’ partnership with Uber on this promotion was to allow customers to celebrate Kaamatan without worrying about driving or parking.
Kaamatan is celebrated in Sabah and Labuan on May 30 and 31.
According to a government announcement earlier this month, civil servants born in Sabah, Sarawak and Labuan serving in Peninsular Malaysia were also allowed to take one day of unrecorded leave for the Kaamatan and Gawai festivals.
