BN's Community leaders not performing job

SIPITANG - Two pertinent issues boggling the mind of the people of Long Pasia, which no one seems to be giving clearer picture until today said Lalung Dawar and Johnny Ampiuk, first, how did SEDCO (Sabah Economic Development Corporation) go about acquiring the land to build a block of three door shop lots, which is now near completion.

(Pic at left - with the Homestay owner Pengiran Balang of Long Pasia 3rd from left, Amde Sidik 4th from left)

According to Lalung and Johnny, Kampong Long Pasia is about eleven acres in size as kampong reserved. If the status is still kampong reserved, how then the kampong people not involved in any discussion to allow building shop houses?

Another is about the appointment of community leaders by the authority, which should have been based on who the people think can be trusted, could not be simply picked at fancy by a certain group in power. The most important thing is the ability to perform the functions as community leaders.

Today according to the duo, "everyone is left in the dark not knowing what the leaders are doing, kampong people are not informed what are the authority's plan for the kampong thus how can the kampong people support the government's project," they said. (pic at right - Controversial SEDCO shop lots in Long Pasia)

They are so many other issues brought up during the two days visit of Deputy President of Sabah Progressive Party-SAPP Tuan Hj Amde Sidik, which he said is a very valuable lesson to know what people of Maligan, Iburu, Long Mio and Long Pasia kept in the chest for so long.

This was the second lap of working visit by the party leaders of SAPP Constituency Liaison Committee of N28 Sindumin.

"I'm impressed by the desire of the people to change the administration of the district's leaders. The voice for change has been echoed just as anywhere else in the state," Amde said, "it isn't the difficult for me to understand what they want ... my granddad's root is here therefore the older generation has no problem in recognising my desire to assist my roots. (pic left - Hj Amde Sidik presenting a book SAPP Pilihan Ku by Emin Madi to Noi Dawar)

"Its pathetic after 49 years independent our people are continuously supplied with blue water tank with 1Malaysia on it and 2 feet by 8 feet aluminium zincs at eve of every general election," he said.

The trip has been very successful according to Hj Amde Sidik and he is very proud with his group of SAPP members led by the CLC Sindumin's secretary Sarudin Maidian, whom like Amde was never involved in politics before until SAPP left the BN.

The are confident that SAPP has the quality of leadership which Sindumin people can rely on in the future.

  17. Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak menegaskan keputusan beliau masih berteka-teki mengenai tarikh Pilihan Raya Umum Ke-13 tiada kaitan dengan persoalan tidak yakin Barisan Nasional (BN) akan menang sebaliknya ia demi menghormati mandat selama lima tahun yang diberi rakyat kepada Kerajaan Pusat

    ReplyDelete
