Scaring tactic; vandalising property to chase out opposition?

SIPITANG - Sabah Progressive Party (SAPP) CLC (Constituency Liaison Committee) of N28 Sindumin’s Deputy Women’s Head, Ejyan Ahli’s car was vandalised soon after SAPP members finished giving their ceramah at her house at Kampong Mesapol Lama last night, which is about 5 km from Sipitang town.

The culprit seemed to be using a hard object to break and damage the window screen of her brand new car Avanza suspected to be hard metal object or perhaps using catapult at close distance. Fortunately there was no one in the car at that time, parked just in front of her house.

According to Hj Amde Sidik the Deputy President of the Party, who is also West Coast Zone and N28 Sindumin Constituency Liaison Committee Chairman said, the suspicion is that they are people who are jealous of the widespread of SAPP’s influence in this area especially the younger ones, prone to support opposition like SAPP.

Sipitang was won by the incumbent Member Parliament MP Datuk Sapawi Ahmad during the last General Election 2008 against Karim Tassim.

People think Hj Amde Sidik can perform better here.

It’s the first time that the top leaders of political party from Sipitang ever held prominent position in any political party.

SAPP has many new faces to be fielded for this forth coming GE.

  5. Vandalism is the behaviour attributed originally to the Vandals, by the Romans, in respect of culture: ruthless destruction or spoiling of anything beautiful or venerable.

    1. Private citizens commit vandalism when they willfully damage or deface the property of others or the commons. Some vandalism may qualify as culture jamming or sniggling: it is thought by some to be artistic in nature even though carried out illegally or without the property owner's permission

    2. Examples include at least some graffiti art, billboard "liberation" and possibly crop circles. Criminal vandalism takes many forms. Graffiti on public property is common in many inner cities as part of a gang culture; however, other more serious forms of vandalism that may take place during public unrest such as rioting can involve the willful destruction of public and private property

    3. The term also includes criminal damage such as graffiti and defacement directed towards any property without permission of the owner.
