Trial on Norikoh's Death


KOTA KINABALU - The KK High Court today started a pre-trial management held at the Sessions Court on the Norikoh Saliwa's mysterious death.

Saliwa Madaya, 57, and his wife Raimas Makanal, 56 off Kampung Bombong 1, Kota Marudu together with their 26-year old daughter, Bibianah came to court this morning to listen to the case management.

Accompanying them were Sabah Progressive Party (SAPP) party members to give Saliwa's family moral support.

In Dec 18, 2012, a Pakistani trader based in Kota Marudu, Amir Ali Khan Nataway was formally charged for causing Norikoh's death from a moving truck in front of Sessions Court Judge Duncan Sikodol who then fixed the hearing date from Feb 7 to 8, 2013.

Norikoh was found dead by the road side at Kilometer 2.8, Jalan Kota Marudu-Langkon at about 12.40m on Nov 25 last year.

Amir Ali from Buner (right), Pakistan pleaded not guilty to the charge framed under Section 304 (b) of the Penal Code which carries a jail term of up to 10 years or fine or both upon conviction.

According to lawyer Peter Marajin, all papers should be supplied by this Wednesday and another case management will be on Thursday.
