LIAWAN: Sabah Progressive Party (SAPP) N.34 Liawan CLC Assistant Secretary, Roslan Amat, clarified that Johari Tahir, is a former member of the PPPS, headed by Datuk Seri Panglima Lajim Ukin. He joined SAPP by himself before becoming a SAPP candidate for Liawan during the 13th General Elections.
He said that according to the CLC N.34 Liawan office records none of the SAPP members from Liawan branches followed Johari to PKR. It means that the supposed '505-members that joined PKR are not SAPP members but actually former members of PPPS whom have never joined SAPP. Further it is also doubtful whether the "505 members" who supposedly joined PKR really exist.
"After the GE13, Leaders, division and branch chiefs as well as elected representatives of PKR were in a disarray due to losing hope and confidence in PKR's leadership and struggle for Sabah. Furthermore PKR Sabah had become the adopted son to Selangor. This is the same concept used by UMNO, a colonial system ... Malayan-controlled parties always overpowering and overshadow their lesser subordinate 'counterparts' in Sabah," said Roslan.
“We must ensure that Sabah’s autonomy is not surrendered to KL as it is our right, and real autonomy can only be achieved if Sabah is ruled by a local party,” he stressed.
