SAPP urges Junz Wong to accept legal summon like a gentleman

KOTA KINABALU - Sabah Progressive Party (SAPP) has urged Likas assemblyman cum Sabah DAP assistant secretary, Junz Wong to stop playing a cat-and-mouse game with the party and to accept its legal summon gentlemanly.

SAPP information chief, Chong Pit Fah warned that if Wong continued with his antics, the party might have no choice but to resort to advertise the legal suit in the newspapers as a means of serving it to him.

In a brief statement issued here yesterday, Chong claimed that SAPP officials had been trying to serve the suit on Wong since January this year but the latter had always given them the slip.

“We have been trying since January this year to serve the papers on him but he has been avoiding it. Despite having set an appointment, he will come up with excuses like being ill,” he said adding that the last appointment which he again evaded was on Monday, Feb 10.

However, he has informed SAPP that he was willing to meet their representatives on Wednesday, Feb 12.

“In fact, the writ of summons could have been served earlier at the DAP and Pakatan Chinese New Year events but SAPP preferred to observe the festive atmosphere and had repeatedly tried to make appointments by going to the DAP offices and Junz Wong’s office but to no avail,” said Chong.

It was reliably learnt that the writ of summon was over some malicious remarks made by Wong in the social media, against SAPP and its leaders, prior to the last general election.
