Adenan criticised Anwar for questioning the state government’s decision even though he himself is still permitted entry to Sarawak.
Adenan stressed that the Borneo state does not need any interference from outsiders on how to run the administration or in deciding its future.
“Outsiders need not interfere and cause trouble here,” he said.
Adenan who is also the Sarawak Barisan Nasional chairman further said that: “Sarawak is peaceful and its people live in a harmonious environment though they come from diversified religious believes and ethnic cultures.”
Meanwhile, political analyst Peter Minos concurred with the decision made by Adenan.
“Adenan is doing the right thing and the people of Sarawak are always behind him. Adenan wants to maintain harmony among various races and the freedom to practice their religion in this state, regardless if there is an election or not,” he said.
Minos is also in support to bar anybody from the Peninsular Malaysia who has intention to create trouble in Sarawak.
On March 21 Adenan had said that the Sarawak state government will use its immigration rights as per the Federal Constitution to deny entry to any extremist group be it race or religion based. They will be deported in accordance to the law.
On March 25 opposition leaders Tian Chua, Rafizi Ramli and Saifuddin Nasution were denied entry into the state. Only Anwar was allowed in.
