Mohamed Sharil Tarmizi, chairman of the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) condemned the "distasteful" postings of Alvin Tan.
"We have made a complaint to Facebook and have requested Facebook immediately remove the page as we believe it is also against their terms and conditions of service," he said in a statement late Wednesday.
Tan, 26, and his 25-year-old girlfriend are facing multiple charges in Malaysia for posting pornographic videos on their blog and for posting a Ramadan greeting featuring a dish using pork, which is forbidden in Islam.
Tan, who is out on bail, fled to the United States where he is believed to be seeking political asylum.
In his Facebook page, Tan put pig snouts on the faces of several officials, including Prime Minister Najib Razak, police chief Khalid Abu Bakar, and Home Minister Ahmad Zahid Hamidi.
Criticizing government leaders, Islam and royalties can land an individual in prison in Malaysia, which has tough sedition laws.
Conviction of sedition carries a penalty of up to three years imprisonment or a fine of 5,000 ringgit (1,600 dollars) or both.
