Injustice in murder case of Norikoh

KOTA KINABALU - An activist from the NGO, Bansa, John Charles Mitah Mikat, has lodged a police report claiming an injustice in the murder case of the Kota Marudu girl, Norikoh Saliwa.

"As long as those responsible for Norikoh's death are not punished I will never stop pursuing the case," said John.

"I respect the laws. The laws do not speak for itself but when men talked about laws then it is very perculiar," he said, adding that it was impossible for Norikoh to die without any reason.

During the murder trial, John Charles transported Norikoh's parents and sister back and forth from Kg Bombong 1, Kota Marudu to the High Court here for nearly one and a half years without expecting for anything in return.

According to him, he decided to lodge the police report after carefully studying the High Court Judge's decision on the reasons the prosecution had failed to prove its case.

He was accompanied by Norikoh's parents and sister as well as several Bansa members to lodge the report at the Kota Marudu police headquarters.

Bansa or Bangkit! Anak Negara Sabah! (Rise! Children of the Sabah Nation!) headed by John Charles is an NGO that struggles to raise the awareness of the people so that their rights, justice and the nation of Sabah's sovereignty are always protected.
