Siti Kasim vows legal action against those out to defame her over remarks on God

KUALA LUMPUR - Siti Kasim threatened today to take action against those who defamed her after authorities said the lawyer would be summoned to clarify her reported remarks on God’s existence.

The outspoken activist also said she has yet to hear anything herself and that she only had read in the news about the Islamic Development Department of Malaysia’s (Jakim) plan to interview her.

“I will have no hesitation to take the full force of law against anyone or anybody who try to bully or defame me,” Siti wrote on her Facebook page.

“They want to call me based on what?? Due to an idiot blogger who created a story for whatever his reasons and twisted it to make it look as if I have created a new God? Only mentally-challenged people will actually believe rubbish like this. Go and check out the real full interview before bothering me,” she added.

National news agency Bernama reported yesterday Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Datuk Asyraf Wajdi Dusuki as saying that Jakim would summon Siti to clarify her remarks in an interview with a Chinese news outlet.

Siti last month filed a police complaint after receiving death threats from Facebook users over her alleged remarks on God.

She told Malay Mail Online when contacted on March 22 that the decapitation threats were made after a fundamentalist Malay-language portal, Menara.my, published an article titled “Melalui getaran, kita menghasilkan Tuhan — Siti Kasim” (Through vibrations, we create God — Siti Kasim) that she said had “manipulated” her interview with Chinese-language portal pocketimes.my.
