Is DAP Leaked Info On Anwar To Singapore A Baseless Accusation?

DAP secretary-general Lim Guan Eng said claims that the party had leaked information on Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) adviser Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim's sodomy case to Singapore as exposed in the Wikileaks, was a baseless accusation.

Guan Eng said the accusations levelled at DAP were just an effort to discredit the party.

He added that DAP does not have any diplomatic relationship with the Singapore government, let alone the Singapore intelligence. (Although it is common knowledge that diplomatic relationship has nothing to do leaking intelligence)

"So, where did the Wikileaks information come from? Diplomatic relations?

"Currently DAP has no powers to establish any kind of diplomatic relationship. So, what kind of relationship do we have with the Singapore intelligence? he told reporters at the Pakatan Rakyat Convention here Sunday.

Yesterday, former head of Angkatan Muda Keadilan (AMK) Selangor, Hamidzun Khairuddin wanted DAP clarify how Singapore's Minister Mentor Lee Kuan Yew knew of Anwar Ibrahim's sodomy activities that were exposed in the WikiLeaks website recently.

Hamidzun was reported to have said that it was no secret that DAP had close political relationship with the Singapore government, especially with Kuan Yew.

He added that details and confidential information of Anwar's sodomy case was with DAP chairman Karpal Singh since he was representing Anwar in the sodomy case.
