KOTA KINABALU, March 24, 2011: Sabah Progressive Party (SAPP) President Datuk Yong Teck Lee said it will be more relevant if his Parti Bersatu Sabah (PBS) counterpart, Tan Sri Joseph Pairin Kitingan, respond to Tun Dr Mahathir's comments, rather than Datuk Radin Malleh.He said Dr Mahathir had written about the four-eye meeting between him (Dr Mahathir) and Pairin in South Korea in 1990 a few months before the general election that year.
"Does Radin know what transpired between them at their 'summit' in South Korea?" he asked in a statement, Wednesday.
Yong asked Radin whether he recalled that Pairin had declared that he (Pairin) had always been a "secret admirer" of Dr Mahathir when he spoke at the PBS Congress in 2003 officiated by Dr Mahathir.
PBS had returned to the BN's fold a year before.
"Would Pairin in future say that it was Dr Maximus of another of his deputies who forced him to bring PBS back to BN in 2002? Or would he feign being 'ill advised' by his colleagues again?" he asked.
Yong said Radin spoke about the meeting of PBS Supreme Council on Oct 15, 1990 that decide to pull out from BN.
"Was Radin present? Does he know what transpired before, during and after?"
Furthermore, Yong said Radin should be more careful with his facts for instance, Sabahans were shocked in early 1999 when the 1976 Petroleum Agreement between Sabah and Petronas was declassified for public knowledge when finding out that Pairin was one of the signatories.
"Until then, no other PBS member had known Pairin was a direct party to the agreement that gave away 95 percent of Sabah's oil revenue," he said.
Yong also asked Radin what he has to say about the disclosure in Sabahkini by ex-PBS leader Dr Chong Eng Leong that top minister in Umno were leading the Umno task force that orchestrated issuance of identity cards to illegal immigrants.
If Pairin does not want to reply to Mahathir, then what?
ReplyDeleteNah, there's no need to reply Mahathir. Better to focus on finding solutions to solve those ongoing issues that Sabah still facing till now such as the illegal immigrant issue.

ReplyDeleteHow come arr this Yong is always concern about Pairin's matter???? Its not his problem if Pairin choose to not respond. You're not his mother Yong! I suggest Yong to focus on more important mattes.

Dump those BN parties... that's all I can say. For the sake of all Malaysian, for good or for worse, we need to have a new set of ruling government. That is what had happened in Taiwan , Japan and Philippines . WE HAVE BEEN FOOLED FOR OVER 50 YEARS BY THE BN. KEEP THEM THERE, AND WE ARE JUST FILLING UP THEIR XXXXXXL SIZE POCKETS.
