Umno Youth to defy ban, may rally at Stadium Merdeka

KUALA LUMPUR: Umno Youth chief Khairy Jamaluddin said today his movement will gather at Bukit Bintang tomorrow and may march towards Stadium Merdeka despite the police order barring him and his followers from entering the city tomorrow.

The Rembau MP said the decision was reached following Bersih’s insistence to rally at the same point despite the government’s refusal to allow the poll watchdog to hold any rally in the capital city.

Khairy said it is their “constitutional right” to assemble and what they are doing – rejecting Bersih’s “confrontational approach” – is morally right.

However, he said, Umno Youth, under the Patriot programme, will appeal for a permit to be given for its rally to be held at Stadium Merdeka.

    Bersih mempunyai sebab-sebab tertentu tapi UMNO ada apa sebab? Nak tunjuk gagah dan cari pasal saja.
