Malaysia should be one country with two systems

PENAMPANG: Malaysia should have "one country, two systems" to allow Sabah and Sarawak to have its own capitalist economic and political systems.

United Borneo Front (UBf) founder Datuk Dr Jeffrey Kitingan said the federal government should allow Sabah and Sarawak to be developed based on their own systems.

"Sabah and Sarawak are different compared to Peninsular Malaysia. Our rights are not the same as theirs.

“Our geographical structure is different and we do not have economic growths as the other states in  the Peninsular have," said Jeffrey, adding that the 20 Points had clearly stated that Sabah and Sarawak are equal partners with the Peninsular and not one of the state in Malaysia.

Apart from the cabotage policy that had been spoken by many leaders about its relevance and to be demolished, Jeffrey stressed Sabah should also have its own education system without depending everything from Kuala Lumpur.

He said this at a press conference at TNGC Clubhouse, Beverly Hills here yesterday morning.

He urged all Sabahan leaders to work together and become one voice if it came to the rights of Sabahans without looking at their political agenda.

Jeffrey and UBF co-founder Nilakrisna James jointly announced that their main agenda should be prioritized, even if they belonged to different political parties, to fight for native supremacy when it came to native land ownership, native land rights, native customary rights and pusaka land rights.

Meanwhile, Nila announced that she would host an UBF Malaysia Day tea party at Sedomon Rumah Besar in Bingkor on September 16 with some members of the Sedomon clan.

“Jeffrey and I are doing this in Sedomon's honour and we will celebrate the occasion on my granddad's turf, talking about the issues which Sedomon was deeply passionate about.

"Before the tea party, we will pay our respect to the Batu Sumpah, an oath stone with an apparently potent curse that was commissioned by Sedomon. This spiritual journey for both Jeffrey and I is a very important one before the next general election," she added.

  2. The more I read the more confused I became. This sort of talk can never win elections because it sounds more like propaganda than actual facts.

You expect the whole natives in Sabah to rise to the name of an unknown person outside his small 'shell' and a person who is no better than a village chief.

  3. One Country with two systems is definitely new to the local bumis of Sabah..it needs a lot of explaining and telling before this thing gets into their minds...and it is not an easy thing.

  4. Simple message to all local bumis. Kita orang Sabah kah? Betulkah?

  5. You are "ciplaking" or Hijacking SAPP agenda lah Jeff..but actually that is wrong, since Sabah formed Malaysia with Sarawak and Malaya in 1963, we are proposing 1 country 3 systems..never forget we build Malaysia not join Malaysia!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  6. If i am not mistake one country two systems is designed by SAPP, then how come Gapari hijacked it?

  8. We should fight for Borneonisation.

  9. I agree that Sabah and Sarawak are very different compare to SM.

    ReplyDelete
  10. Not everything in SM can be adapted in Sabah and Sarawak.

    ReplyDelete
  11. And most of things in Sabah are not excepted in SM, such as Khawin Campur.

  12. Don't read too much about UBF.Its full of rejected leaders.

  13. Datuk Jeffrey is not the brainchild of the idea. He is good in copywriter. Knowlah people sekarang ni main copy and paste lepas put that dia punya idea.

Not only that UBF pun diorang copycat MCLM punya agenda. I was very surprise that when Haris Ibrahim of MCLM present his paper recently at Cititel Hotel i was shocked and ask who actually copy siapa punya idea and it is found out Datuk Jeffrey copy it. That's how Harvard graduate learn from the University.

Datuk Jeffrey you are really a copycate Number 1 in Malaysia.

So I want to ask Datuk Jeffrey, Is this your idea or you copy from SAPP and claimed it is yours.

If this yours then i say you should be ashamed of yourself being the 1st copycat politician.

  17. No worry SAPP, we will design for you a new one...and that's mean the old one which already copied by Jeffrey are void, abolished and superseded with the new "One Country; Three Systems"

  20. Put aside personal interests and support Borneonisation.

  21. copy or not, the most important is the result from that idea..

    ReplyDelete
  22. True harryzan. Doesn't care who initiated the idea. But who works the idea that count.

    ReplyDelete

  25. Yes, there are alot of differences compared to each other. We should give it a try.

  26. Sabahans should really stand up and don't let people think that we only count on them. Sabah need to be independent. It's time to make a change.

  28. Sound like the current Sabahan really benefits nothing but trying to strike for his right? We achieved Independent for 50 more years, really the government do nothing to all Sabahan? Sometime, we need to be a bit optimistic to the government. Being Sabahan we need to voice out our concern and needs, let the leading party to do their job for us.

  29. One Country Two System... By reading the terms, sound very easy but look forward to understand more about the concept. Who know it might risks the people..

    ReplyDelete
  30. Is it the same concept like Hong Kong?

    ReplyDelete

  32. What is 1 Country 2 System? How it work?

What do you mean "independent"? Independent to handle tasks, fund, project etc., or to strike independent become a country like Singapore.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Does Sabah has its own capability and qualified to have its own system now?

    ReplyDelete
Long Term Strageci Plan memang diperlukan.

    Hi June,
Terima Kasih kerana voice out pendapat kamu. Thanks to the government, you don't even know berapa lama sudah Federation Of Malaysia berusia. ITS FUCKING 48 YEARS! not [We achieved Independent for 50 more years, really the government do nothing to all Sabahan?]. So if you're educated enough, -never give opinion about whatever you are "TIN KOSONG" about it.

...really the government do nothing to all Sabahan?

A- it is more important to solved the LIWAT Issue rather than solved PATI issue? I think this is enough to answer your question. please read other book about Federation of Malaysia. KPM text book is a toilet paper.

  39. Do you know that Sabah and Sarawak are being never been mentioned in Malaysia?

    ReplyDelete
  40. Yang penting kedua2 pihak mendapat faedah.

    ReplyDelete
  41. I think the best way to deal with that is to have a fair and square resolutions.
