Kota Kinabalu: The Sabah Progressive Party (SAPP) will not return to the Barisan Nasional (BN) fold even if Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi were to announce the leadership transition today (Wednesday), said its President Datuk Yong Teck Lee.
He said SAPP pulled out from the BN coalition on Sept 17 because of their struggle in wanting to see a lasting solution to the problems affecting the people in Sabah.
“It is not a personal issue that if Pak Lah were to leave…we (SAPP) will be back in BN. We are looking at issues at large, and not necessarily just the Prime Minister of the day,” he told reporters here, Tuesday.
Asked on Abdullah’s likely announcement today (Wednes-day), Yong said his guess was that the Prime Minister would not announce the leadership transition.
“The reasons being that he has the majority support of Umno members and the people of Malaysia who have voted for BN and he has a comfortable majority in Parliament,” he said.
On a different note, Yong said as of Tuesday, Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Raymond Tan Shu Kiah, who has declared himself a ‘Barisan independent’ after SAPP pulled out of BN, had yet to submit his resignation letter as a member of SAPP.
Is this newly published article a kind of joke? This news is so stale that you can throw it to the piranha.Whats WikiSabah is trying to do?
ReplyDeleteWikisabah is run by pro SAPP and STAR that is why it is so stale. Issues that being brought up by them also very old such as 20 points agreement bla bla bla. Whilst it is still important but can't they also talk more relevants issues such as BERSIH, how to improve Sabah economically n socially, anti corruption bla bla bla.
ReplyDeleteThanks for cashing in on a technical issue by WikiSabah.
DeleteYour narrow minded attitude only allows you to see and read only 5% of the entire WikiSabah news coverage.
You are even more narrow minded for not being able to take criticism. Pathetic !!!
DeleteThis a typical Malayan attitude toward Sabahans after nearly 49 years of Malaysia formation.
DeleteMaybe SAPP thinks their President looks more 'shiny' in that photo.Never mind about the news whats more important is YTL picture. The problem with SAPP is they don't bother to read our minds. Its what they think that counts.Thats why they will lose or even fail to win a single seat in the next GE because the only people who will vote for them are their members. Can anyone guess the number of SAPP members in the whole of Sabah?Less than 30,000.Thats just about 4 to 5% of the total Sabah UMNO members and less than 1% of the overall total of UMNO Malaysia.
ReplyDeleteWhy they upload this photo? I don't look handsome here. They should ask me for a better photo, better angle. Aish.
DeleteThose who support uMNO are the traitors to Sabahan! You will get your retribution oneday when you answering to GOD for your evil intention.
ReplyDeleteRecycle story? opps!
ReplyDeleteSejarah perjalanan SAPP. Ada aku kisah....
DeleteLook at all these comments..simply the job of a few BN cyber troopers earning a buck or two from the corrupted BN crooks...putting their XXXX here!
ReplyDeleteWonder how they were paid?
Whats the purpose of wikisabah publishing a 4 years old news??
ReplyDeleteThis is "yesterday" news.
Deletejika SAPP nak kembali pun, pasti BN takkan terima ia semula.
ReplyDeleteWhy some of you guys so worry about YTL? He is not a YB for so many years but still fighting for Sabah, is that troubling your useless ministers?
ReplyDeletesapp ni memang susah mau bekerjasama dengan mana-mana parti sekalipun.
ReplyDeleteTidak ada pun BN ajak SAPP masuk. Rasanya tanpa SAPP pun BN tetap menjadi pilihan rakyat.
