GE13: ‘Malayan’ politicians shrewd and manipulative

KOTA KINABALU: To end the continuous manipulation and exploitation of Sabah and its rich natural resources, the people of Sabah must rise up and fight to regain full political autonomy for the state.

And this is also the rationale behind Sabah Progressive Party (SAPP) firm stand not to join the Peninsular-based Pakatan Rakyat opposition coalition.

Speaking at its political talk entitled “Safeguarding Sabah, What Have You Contributed?” held in the vicinity of Taman Foh Sang shops here on Tuesday, its President Datuk Yong Teck Lee painstakingly explained why the party has opted for such a firm stand.

He said a careful study on the history and politics of Sabah, as well as having observed and learnt first-hand from his past experiences of dealing with the Malaya politicians, especially when he was still in the Barisan Nasional (BN), made him come to such a conclusion.

In no uncertain terms, he described the Malaya politicians as shrewd and manipulative, as they have no qualms to be extremely nice to a person when they have something up their sleeves and are determined to achieve their hidden agendas.

“This is KL politics! When they need you, they will even go to your house or invite you to their house for lunch, and even serve you personally,” he quipped.

Yong revealed that this was exactly how the former prime minister Tun Ahmad Abdullah Badawi treated him, by inviting him over to his house for lunch, prior to the general elections in 2008, after he had learnt that SAPP planned to cast a vote of no confidence against him, and also that Yong had met with opposition leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, two weeks before.

Yong then cited the case of the late Tun Razak, the father of the present prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak for instance, who managed to use tact to persuade the late OKK Sedomon Gunsanad to change his hostile stance towards Malaya, and to agree to Sabah joining of the Federation back in 1963. This was achieved after Razak paid Sedomon a visit at his house then, which deeply touched the later.

This was revealed by Najib himself when he visited the OKK Sedomon Gunsanad Mansion in Keningau during the last Harvest Festival.

Yong said Sedomon’s case is a reflection of Sabahans’ true nature of being too nice and too easy to be hoodwinked by others.

“Sabahans are just too nice and friendly, and that’s the problem with Sabah today,” he said.

He went on to note that the manipulation of Sabah politicians by the Malaya politicians started when the latter wanted the oil agreement signed between Petronas and the State government, back in 1960s.

From then on, he said, Malaya politicians had been playing the game of ‘divide-and-rule’ by pitting one ethnic Sabah politician against another.

“KL’s agenda is always to divide and rule Sabah; Manusia pun dia, hantu pun dia (He is the man and also the ghost). While they make us fight among ourselves, they rob and steal from us,” he charged.

Yong also revealed that he had since 2008 made clear to Anwar that SAPP won’t be joining PR, citing its main agenda of fighting to restore political autonomy for Sabah.

He said he had made an effort to assert this to Anwar on three consecutive occasions when he met the later on 4, 5 and 6 of April in 2008 to make sure the latter didn’t misunderstood him.

“Finally, he (Anwar) understood and agreed with our stand and that’s the reason why until today he (Anwar) never insisted that SAPP must join Pakatan Rakyat,” said Yong.

He thus hoped such an explanation would once and for all quash the allegations leveled against him by a certain Sabah PR leaders, especially those Sabah DAP ‘greenhorns’ who had been going around saying that the reason why SAPP refused to join PR was because it planned to rejoin BN after this.

The former chief minister also claimed that after more than four decades of mismanagement by the present regime, Malaysia is now financially bankrupt.

“Where is the next government going to find money to run the country, if not from Sabah? Hence, this makes it even more important for us the people of Sabah to regain our political autonomy, in order to better safeguard our State and its fast-depleting natural resources,” he said.
He thus urged the so-called young leaders and supporters of the DAP Sabah to better study and understand the politics of Sabah, before they go around saying something about SAPP or its leaders.

Also present at the occasion were, SAPP senior leaders like its deputy president Datuk Liew Teck Chan, Secretary-general Datuk Richard Yong, vice presidents Datuk Wong Yit Ming and Don Chin, Wanita Chief Melanie Chia and Chong Pit Fah, information chief.

  1. HOW TO END MALAYAN DOMINATION?

IT JUST CANNOT BE DONE IF WE DO NOT UNITE!

  2. MALAYAN SNAKE OIL SALESMEN CONNED US TO BUY A PONZI SCHEME CALLED "MALAYSIA"

Here's how it works. A "ponzi scheme" is an elaborate confidence trick whereby the tricksters con the victim with enticements of "rich rewards. They then take your money and give you back some "interest".

Indeed in the 1960s "shrewd and manipulative" Malayan snake oil salesmen came and sold their "Malaysia proposal" as a guarantee against "foreign invasion" plus "prosperity".

Not everyone went for it, so they created the Cobbold Commission to carry out an "enquiry" and came up with a surprising result showing only 1/3 of the people surveyed agreed with their idea. Nevertheless using this figure as justification they proceeded to implement their Malaysia scheme.

Later by a sleight of hand they turned the "enquiry" into a "referendum" to argue that that formation of Malaysia was approved by the people in a referendum. The Cobbold Commission interviewed/polled some 4,000 people in the 2 colonies. So how could 4,000 people make this be a "referendum". However, because many people were and are unaware of the facts and have continued to be conned for years to come.

The conmen then convinced the so-called local leaders to sign away Sabah Sarawak oil rights. They started to strip our 2 countries' wealth and gave back crumbs they called "development funds". They called this impoverishment of both colonies caused by their plunder "development".

So folks that was a real easy con. They even convinced us that we had to beg for our money and that we depended on them for our national survival.

Is this "independence in Malaysia" OR "dependence on Malaya"? And we were just re-colonised?

After 50 years we are just waking up to their ponzi scheme when they were exposed by their spectacularly failure to protect Sabah from the illegals invasion and Sulu invasion.

But they were exposed for actually smuggling in the illegals to be used as instant voters and have been sponsoring the Sulu BSRA, MNLF MILF Abu Sayyaf for over 40 years with safe haven, weapons and training in Sabah.

So the "protection" and "prosperity" promised by the snake oil salesman cum gangsters was all a con.

IF ALL OF YOU OUT THERE ARE STILL UNDECIDED ABOUT WHY YOU ARE IN "MALAYSIA" THEN YOU DESERVE TO BE IN THIS HELL HOLE FOR ANOTHER 50 YEARS.

BUT IF YOU SEE THE LIGHT- YOU CAN MAKE ONE IMPORTANT DECISION TO TAKE BACK YOUR COUNTRY- VOTE THE BASTARDS OUT FOR GOOD & KICK THEM ALL BACK TO WHERE THEY COME FROM!
