GE13: Sabahans need to wake up

By John Salag

Sabahans need to wake up and be united to make Sabah the richest State in the Federation once again.

Under UMNO/BN, Sabah has become the second poorest state in Malaysia.  Corruption, incompetent government, massed Project IC/Social Engineering on illegals from the Sulu Islands, who are mainly followers of a self-proclaimed Sulu Sultan, lack of accountability when heavily armed Suluk Terrorists descended on Eastern Sabah that led to the unnecessary deaths of Sabahan Security Forces and generated untold destructions, hardships and miseries to the terrorized Sabahan communities in Lahad Datu District, the loss of Tourism in Eastern Sabah due to the ongoing conflict, heightened tensions among Sabahans pertaining to Sabah security, and the dearth of development in the State, are some of the pertinent imperatives that necessitate dethroning the UMNO/BN government in Sabah and nationally in the coming General Election.

It is time for a change.  It is time for a new chapter in Sabah for Sabahans to support a multi-racial Sabah-based political Party that represents Sabah’s interests in the Federation.  It is time for new leadership that will struggle to make Sabah the richest state in the Federation once again.

Sabah has a strong Sabah-based Political Party that is called Sabah Progressive Political Party or SAPP that is multi-racial.

Sabah is now in the 21st century.  The world is no longer tolerant of a racist or a tribal based political party.  Racist based party is narrow and archaic.  Racism and tribalism have led to untold conflicts and have retarded development and progress in society.

Over the years, SAPP has generously served all Sabahans irrespective of race, religion and creed.  SAPP struggles to lift Sabah to a higher level where Sabahans will be freed from the shackles of poverty and illiteracy and turn Sabah to a prosperous and harmonious state in the Federation.  SAPP believes and thrives in meritocracy where the education of the people is encouraged and supported, where the best minds are rewarded and utilized to enhance the development of Sabah.

Sabah does not need Neo-Colonialist entities from across  South China Sea that pretend that they can be better in serving Sabahans.  The evidence shows that they have failed Sabah.  Under UMNO/BN, Sabah has become the second poorest state in the Federation.  The current conflict with foreign terrorists shows that they are incompetent in managing the security of Sabah.  Sabah Security Forces have lost their lives defending Sabah. Sabahan communities in the East have been terrorized and suffered economic losses.  Self-appointed Sultan of Sulu continues to usurp Sabah with impunity.  And those who facilitated the usurpers’ dreams by their Project IC/Social Engineering Plan should have been charged with treason.  It seems, however, that they have made themselves immune to the Rule of Law.

Sabahans should be rightly concerned with the performance and empty promises of external entities trying to colonize Sabah.  For this reason, Sabahans need to wake up and overwhelmingly support their own Sabah-based multi-racial political party that SAPP represents.

When SAPP forms the new government of Sabah, Sabahans can be proud of Sabah, and can look forward to greater development, prosperity and security for Sabah.

It is time for Sabahans to say NO to external entities encroaching in Sabah political landscape.  Sabah is no longer a country bumpkin that needs to be condescended and led like domesticated creatures.

By voting for SAPP, Sabahans can be proud of being Sabahans once again, and can declare to others that Sabahans have the capability of forming a competent government that cares for and serves all Sabahans irrespective of race, religion and creed in their pursuit of prosperity and happiness for Sabah.
