KUNAK - Six suspected Sulu terrorists, including a woman, were detained by the Bukit Aman Special Branch and the Eastern Sabah Security Command (Esscom) during a special operation in Kunak, Sabah on Wednesday.
Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar said police also seized membership cards, appointment letters and documents linked to the Sulu Sultanate.
"The suspects were detained for alleged involvement with Sulu terrorists and the attack on Lahad Datu last year.
"We also seized a few weapons from their hideout, " he said in a statement on Wednesday.
He added that the six were detained under the Security Offences (Special Measures) Act 2012 (Sosma).
