KUCHING - Petronas senior officials has briefed Sarawak Chief Minister Adenan Satem on the national oil company operations and their production in response to a request by the Government of Sarawak to increase oil royalties to 20 percent.
Adenan, accompanied by several state Cabinet ministers, attended the briefing at Wisma Bapa Malaysia here yesterday.
Meeting with Petronas has been mentioned by the Chief Minister last Thursday.
Chief Minister left the closed-door meeting without comment while the ministers who accompanied him refused to comment on the discussion. They just said that Adenan will issue a brief statement in the future.
