Bikini-clad women spark fury after sunbathing on GRAVESTONES in cemetery

Two women were snapped basking in the sun on top of gravestones at Glenmaggie Cemetery in Victoria, Australia

Two bikini-clad women who were snapped soaking up the sun on top of gravestones at a cemetery have been accused of showing a lack of respect to the dead.

The women, believed to be in their 40s and from a nearby caravan park, were snapped stripping down to swimwear at Glenmaggie Cemetery in Victoria, Australia.

What is even more surprising about their choice of sun trap is the graveyard is just metres from Lake Glenmaggie, a popular destination for sunseekers.

Shocked residents and relatives of those buried in the cemetery posted on Facebook to express their anger, claiming their actions were disrespectful.

One Facebook user posted: "I am disgusted at seeing those girls 'sun baking' on the graves of locals that have passed away.

"For one, why the hell would you be at the cemetery at Glenmaggie, when all the tourists there generally hang out at the lake.

"It's utterly disrespectful to the dead."

Seven News reported that the pair were staying at a caravan park nearby and just 100 metres from Lake Glenmaggie.
