DEPRAVED death cult Islamic State is using a new torture device dubbed the “flying carpet” to extract confessions from their prisoners.
The twisted jihadis strap their captives to a metal or wooden board equipped with hinges, allowing the ends to be brought together.
This bends the spine of the helpless hostage.
The warped torture method was revealed by covert dissident movement Raqqa is Being Slaughtered Silently.
The group has uncovered the sick details of how ISIS – also known as Daesh – dish out cruel punishment to prisoners held across Syria and Iraq.
Another method is called shabeh – which means ghost – where the captive is hung by their hands above the ground for days at a time.
The group said: “The prisoner often loses his ability to move his hands – dislocating his joints.
“It can also cause damage to the brachial plexus, which are the nerves that control arm and hand moment, usually resulting in permanent disability.”
Heinous ISIS thugs also use psychological torture to break their victims and get them to reveal strategic secrets or confess to trumped-up charges.
Abu Alnour, who was freed after managing to pay a £33,000 ransom, revealed how one prisoner was driven to the brink of insanity by his warped captures.
He said: “I do not want to talk about the beating, the electric shocks and the daily insults, I would rather talk about the young Abdullah who went crazy inside the prison.
“He was accused of being a former FSA fighter, and he had the biggest share of torture within our group, which consisted of 13 prisoners in a less than eight-square-metre-sized cell.
“One night we woke up and his voice was screaming. We later knew that some ISIS members entered into the room and put a severed head next to him and woke him up and when he saw the head he lost his mind.”
ISIS is notorious for their despicable torture methods.
Mohammed Zihad, 17, told Express.co.uk he was subjected to torture eight times simply because of his hairstyle.
