STAR: Joe Fernandez is a LIAR

“The recent report of young turks in STAR wishing to go alone is totally false and baseless. STAR Sabah is fully committed to the United Borneo Alliance (UBA) and a united opposition to oust the current Umno/BN Governments,” stated Datuk Dr. Jeffrey Kitingan, STAR Sabah Chairman. He referring to highly controversial writer who can write anything just a few extra bucks, the notorious Joe Fernandez from FMT, previously sacked by Malaysiakini.

“STAR has also sealed the Semporna Declaration with USNO and their supporters sealing the unity of ethnic Sabahans where candidates from USNO will contest under the USNO banner and USNO supporters will support all STAR candidates throughout Sabah.”

In addition, we will cooperate with all local parties under UBA at all levels to ensure a united local opposition.

STAR also intends to work with the Peninsular opposition to ensure a united coalition in Sabah to take on UMNO/BN. The unwarranted speculation that STAR will be going alone does not arise at all.

Of utmost importance is for the Sabah opposition to be united in facing and toppling the current state and federal governments which have failed to safeguard Sabah’s rights and autonomy and replace them with 'warriors' who will fight for the rights and autonomy of Sabah.

  2. Dear STAR, DAP, SAPP etc, stop fighting openly. If you all have any disagreement discuss!!! Setup a commitee for discussion n to relay feedback to all party supreme council. At show that opposition are united. How to convince voters that u guys matured enough to take on BN? Stop fighting like school children ok? I know the stake is big but fighting n accusing each other is not going to win election!!! Grow up politician !!

    2. I don't think they would unite. They are only interested in getting the power all by themselves.

  21. Joe Fernandez is a budding lawyer, not a liar. We are sure that being an embedded journalist he knows what he's writing about. He has consistently been proven to be right because he's into embedded reporting. Who wouldn't be right all the time with a ringside view? Star in all 60 state seats in Sabah and the 26 parliamentary seats including Labuan is the right way to go, according to the young Turks in the party.

The press statement under Dr Jeffrey Kitingan's name was issued by Tony Minggir (Dusun Bukit) without his boss' permission or agreement.

Minggir got rid of Zainal Ajamain and Nilakrishna James from the United Borneo Front (UBF) which was actually started by the two fellows, not Dr Jeffrey Kitingan.

Similarly, it was Joe Fernandez who came up with the term Common Interest Group Malaysia (CigMA) for Daniel John Jambun for his presentation at the House of Commons in London.

  26. It's ridiculous to suggest that Joe Fernandez was sacked by malaysiakini. He stopped writing for the website when it refused to pay the legal bill from Rakhbir Singh & Co in KL to handle a case for it. The only amount it paid the lawyer was RM 1,000 appearance fee.

  27. apa pn sya nasihatkan anda semua, jika anda benar2 org asli sabah, tolong dulu baca fakta2 sebenar sejarah sabah ketika menandatangani persetujuan membentuk Malaysia dahulu.Jika anda sdh baca dan dah faham semuanya,ok... sekarang cuba anda nilaikan apa sdh jadi dgn sabah sekarang?Contoh yg paling mudah..iaitu,bandingkan sabah dgn serawak.Sarawak mempunyai kuasa autonominya sendiri dalam mentadbir negerinya sendiri, manakala sabah pula kuasa autonominya sudah tiada lgi.anda sendirilah nilai, barulah anda boleh buat keputusan.
