PM: No basis to claim RM40mil was smuggled... what a joke!

Dear Mr Prime Minister....why is it that the money had to be hand carried back by one single person in a hush hush manner and not wire into UMNO's account directly? RM40 million is not a small sum by any standard.

Why was it being brought in suitcase. Please answer this. I believe an amount higher than $10k has to be declared.

Money of that large sum brought into the country has to be declared to Bank Negara. Even for a mere sum of RM100K, one has to declare where the money came from. So Mr. Najib was this amount declared. The trap has been set and the mouse falls right in and you want another term as the PM.

The govt is being irrational once again. Caught with its pants down, it tried to justify what amounted to a criminal act in ordinary circumstances.

The quick response by MACC saying that there's nothing wrong smacks of political interference and 'sandiwara' which is becoming irritatingly common in Malaysia.

For how long do we need to put up with all these? How can the govt be so arrogant and dared to insult the intelligence of ordinary citizens by playing down the gravity of the issue at hand? We are talking about allegations of money laundering here and the mystery donor of whom Najib curtly refused to divulge.

The beleaguered PM must have forgotten that in his zeal to implicate SUARAM he left his back door vulnerable to attack. Let there be more scandals uncovered and skeletons exposed so that more fence sitters can be convinced to vote for Pakatan. BN must be taught a bitter lesson: it doesn't pay to be corrupt.

UMNO PM, no matter what you say or do, you will not justify your dodgy action, illegally transferring of fund!....corruption runs in the veins of all UMNOputras and cronies. The more you try to justify yourself, the more ridiculous it will appear to the public. UMNO is simply rotten, despicable political party...that knows no shame!..arrogant mud heads.

Najib, if only you had contnued to keep your gaps shut, we wouldn't have known you are now powerless in gomen and in umno. The very way you spoke that no basis to say RM40 million was smuggled, we know you are distracting attention from the real issue. First, the cash was smuggled. and a middleman had admitted it, likewise your boy in Sabah also admitted its umno's money. If you are in authority, you will have spoken before your boy in Sabah umno speaks. This matter is so important to your image and standing, yet you are standing on the sidelines .

  1. Apa lagi bukti mahu, this is just clear cut corrupted money, but UMno and MACC swept it under the carpet. Denying it is useless, the people know what and how to think, only idiots of BN trying to protect themselves by abusing the government machinery.

    1. Hmmm....I guess you are going to cite your purported claim from Sarawak Report. All this while if you look deeper into any reports that Sarawak Report claims it's cladibility anchored under the findings made by ICAC. But strangely enough ICAC made no confirmation that they have provided Sarawak Report this piece of information. But what is indeed worth taking note is that ICAC has withdrawn their filing suit under MACMA. Again Sarawak Report did not highlight this matter. Doest that appear to be strange?

    2. As far as I am concern is that this matter has already been closed . Yet the opposition made all sorts of attempt just to keep on fanning this issue by making police report, demanding White Paper on this matter and RCI. Isn't it obvious that they they to all this matter resides within the juristiction of ICAC? and why are the opposition are dragging their feet on this matter and not go straight to ICAC and have this matter resolve once and for all?

    3. If indeed the opposition are sincere in 'championing' the people regarding this issue, don't you think they would have gone to Hong Kong and get to the bottom of this matter by now? It's been one week now and all they do is keep on playing with this issue. Until such time, this is just the opposition take on playing this issue to gain the upper hand during the comimg election. They have the means to go to Hong Kong, NAZRI had already given them the green ligt to persue the matter to Hong Kong. So what's keeping them from doing it? THINK!

    5. Then prove your allegation with evidence. Don't be emotional just because you are supporting the opposition.

  2. What proof do you claimed "clear cut corrupted money"? Care to point it out?

    1. Well, what if this is case, perhaps you can go to HONG KONG and ask ICAC to verify this 'claim'....

    2. Well this clearly just actionless rhetorics by the opposition. All they care is just playing on the sentiment of the people. What have they done to bring closure to this case?

    3. There's NO sicerity demonststed by the opposition . They keep on playing with this issues and now as we witness come slapping in their face once the truth resurfaced. All ploys to garner vote in the coming of the election.

  3. Smuggled money is accountable to the people, the people will decide whether it is corruption money, which everyone knows from timber kickbacks, projects etc. However, BN Umno tried hard to deny..it is of no use..the people are not even convinced.

    1. Sounds like a kangaroo court to me. This is so wrong. If this is the case, the present government would have done this long time ago. This us pure anarchy. Malaysia will not resort to another TEHRAN SQUARE. Do you seriusly want people to revolt? EVEN THE COUNTRIES THST ARE INVOLVED WITH THE ARAB SPING STILL HAVE NOT RECOVER FROM THEIR REVOLT. My point is simple: evidence is required and simply going on with people sentiment are just speculation. Hared proof is required.

  23. A case in point is the unfounded allegation of graft and money laundering against Musa in relation to a purported RM40 million political donation for Sabah Umno from someone in Hong Kong.Although the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) and the Hong Kong Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC) found no proof of graft against Musa, the opposition continues to harp on the matter.

    ReplyDelete

    1. It is learnt that the original complaint against Musa was lodged by a Malaysian opposition politician to ICAC, which was obliged by law to investigate the complaint.

      Delete
    2. Parti Bersatu Sabah (PBS) secretary-general Datuk Henrynus Amin said the outcome of the investigations by MACC and ICAC proved that the opposition's claims were baseless and brought to light that it was the mastermind of this conspiracy.

      Delete
    3. It has to be noted that ICAC, as acknowledged by not just the Malaysian government but also the opposition, is a highly respected investigative body, guided by the highest standards of practices, rules and procedures.

Kota Belud member of parliament Datuk Abdul Rahman Dahlan said he had listened countless times at Parliament when the opposition praised ICAC as being the best graft-busting agency.

      Delete
    4. "Unfortunately, when the very same ICAC vindicated Musa, the opposition shamelessly called the decision 'doubtful and highly irregular'," said the Sabah BN secretary.

      Delete
    5. To Henrynus, what was even more unfortunate was that certain non-governmental organisations had allowed themselves to become vehicles to fulfil this agenda.

      Delete
    6. Ironically, while Musa is accused by the opposition of looting and pillaging Sabah's timber areas, it was his drive to protect the timber and the forest from being plundered that made him the darling of environmental groups.

      Delete
    7. At Musa's suggestion, the state legislative assembly had also approved a bill barring any development along the Kota Kinabalu seafront, totalling 1,555ha, from Tanjung Aru to Likas Bay.

Is Musa paying the price for doing a good job for Sabah?

      Delete
    8. With a strong likelihood that the state BN under Musa's leadership may again win big in Sabah in the 13th general election, it is not really surprising that he has become a target of the opposition.
