Settle the issue by face to face

KOTA KINABALU - Sabah Progressive Party (SAPP) Deputy President Hj Amde Sidik agreed absolutely with the statement by the Deputy Home Minister Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar who preferred to listen to “separatists” instead of arresting them.

He said that listening to what these people have to say would enable the leaders to understand the real problem.

"Are these people really talking about separation, autonomy or self-rule? Many lawmakers can’t   even explain what are these big words mean let alone people on the street. I 'm prepared to give 'lectures’ on the topics if need be by accompanying Dr Jeffrey, no big problem," he added.

Amde also agree to Dr Jeffery's statement that to deal with this is to take the bull by the horns but putting citizens in jails might paint very bad light to the international community. "People are now encouraged by the event in Scotland in which Scottish are voting for referendum in a week time or so."

"As of now majority of the people in Sabah are talking about autonomy. Autonomy based on the Malaysia Agreement 1963, in other words, it’s about restoration of what were promised in 1963. If the government instead of listening but uses its might to frighten its citizens it would only fuel the sentiment instead of cooling it off.
