Road bully faces two years prison and a fine if convicted

PETALING JAYA - The road bully who spat on a woman’s car windshield claimed trial to a charge of using criminal intimidation and a second charge of bending the woman’s car wipers then spitting on her windshield.

Khoo Kok Ann, 58 claimed trial to using criminal intimidation on Alisa Thean Wei Yun, 35 by blocking her car with his own on the Lebuhraya Damansara-Puchong heading to Putrajaya.

The alleged incidents both occurred at about 8am, on November 17.

If convicted, Khoo faces up to two years in prison and a fine for each charge, under Section 506 of the Penal Code for criminal intimidation and Section 427 for mischief.

Deputy public prosecutor Tan Gin Han asked for RM10,000 bail for each charge, saying the case was of public interest and had been widely circulated on social media.

Khoo’s lawyer Geetha Thanigasalam asked for RM1,000 bail for each charge saying that he had no prior convictions and had already been in remand for two days.

Magistrate Salamiah Salleh granted bail at RM5,000 for each charge with one surety and fixed December 15 for mention.
