The Inland Revenue Board (IRB) has given a final call to taxpayers, reminding them that the last submission date for BE Forms through e-Filing is Friday.
Deputy Finance Minister Datuk Ahmad Maslan said that those who hand in the forms after the due date are likely to be slapped with a penalty for late submission.
"Up to May 13 this year, the board has received over 2,760,930 forms of various categories through the e-Filing method," he said during a press conference after launching the Pontian Revenue Service Centre here on Thursday.
Ahmad said that some 32 centres had been set up nationwide to support the operations of the 36 IRB main branches in the country.
"In Johor, there are four such service centres located in Batu Pahat, Segamat and Kota Tinggi as well as Pontian," he said, adding that the centre was a step to expand its network of services to the people.
