Toddler who fell off mall escalator in stable condition

KOTA KINABALU - An 18-month-old baby girl sustained injuries after falling off an escalator on the first floor at 1Borneo shopping centre in Jalan Sulaman around 2pm today.

City police chief ACP M.Chandra said the condition of the toddler who was being treated at Queen Elizabeth Hospital II was reported to be stable.

“She sustained injuries to the left eye, nose and mouth but is in stable condition although she has not stopped crying,” he said in a statement here today. He said the incident was being investigated.
