SAPP: Solve Sabahans healthcare woes immediately

KOTA KINABALU - Sabah Progressive Party (SAPP) has called on the Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak to immediately intervene to tackle the deteriorating and depressing medical and healthcare services in the State.

Its Information Chief Chong Pit Fah claimed that ever since the government declared the 10-storey Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH) tower block unsafe on Oct 23, 2008 followed by its complete evacuation in the following month of the same year, the State medical and healthcare services had continued to be in disarray, till to date.

Faulty car park gets KK City Hall approval

The Health Ministry already under attack for poor healthcare in Sabah is expected to fully take over a defective car park linked to the Queen Elizabeth 2 Hospital.

KOTA KINABALU: The Kota Kinabalu City Hall (DBKK) has allegedly issued an all-clear “occupational certificate” (OC) to the turnkey contractor of the newly completed five-storey car park at the Queen Elizabeth 2 Hospital (QEH2) despite visible cracks which have appeared at various levels.

QEHII delayed again!

KOTA KINABALU, May 25, 2011: With the extended delay in the completion of the Queen Elizabeth Hospital II (QEH II) renovation, it is only appropriate and dignified that Health Minister Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai take full responsibility and bow-out gracefully, said Sabah Progressive Party (SAPP).

Asserting this was SAPP Information Chief Chong Pit Fah following the expiry of its final extension due date on May 23.

Why was QE Hospital hastily demolished?

Questions abound as to who would benefit most from the hasty demolition of Sabah's QE Hospital and the construction of a 10-storey twin tower at the site?

KOTA KINABALU: The state government may have demolished one of its buildings with undue haste.

According to new information, the Queen Elizabeth Hospital which was razed several months ago was ‘structurally sound’ and damaged portions could have been saved.
