The police have arrested two men believed to be businessman Shazryl Eskay Abdullah and former Malacca chief minister Abdul Rahim Tamby Chik, linked to the sensational 20-minute video clip which depicted a man said to look like a top opposition leader having sex with a woman in a hotel room.
They were believed to be released on police bail.
According to the Star, a number of items were seized by the police as evidence.
"One of them even told us where the sex video was filmed and we have sent a forensics team together with investigators to the scene,” Bukit Aman police secretary Ghazali Md Amin was quoted as saying.
Ghazali, however, did not reveal the identities of the two men.
"Both men have been released on bail pending investigations," he said.
Last night, Rahim (right) and Eskay were questioned at the federal police headquarters in Bukit Aman.
They arrived at 5pm and left after 9.30pm.
Opposition Leader Anwar Ibrahim had on Monday denied that he was the man in the video.
Ghazali had earlier said that a special task force from the Criminal Investigation Department has been set up to probe the police report made by Anwar.
The police have classified the investigation under section 292 of the Penal Code.
A number of journalists and editors who were shown the sex video by a number of men including Shazryl were hauled up for questioning by the police over the past few days.
