GE13: Yong dares Jimmy, Hiew to meet face-to-face

KOTA KINABALU: Sabah Progressive Party (SAPP) President Datuk Seri Yong Teck Lee has dared his DAP adversaries, Jimmy Wong and Dr Hiew King Cheu to face him in the open, instead of smearing SAPP and him at the back, like some sissies.

Wong is currently Chairman of Sabah DAP while Hiew is its Adviser cum former MP for Kota Kinabalu.

Speaking at the Kopitiam Ceramah held in the vicinity of Foh Sang shops in Luyang here, on Wednesday, Yong (picture) challenged both Wong and Hiew to a public debate at the same venue, which is just next to Hiew’s office.

Yong quipped that If Wong and Hiew are afraid to come to the proposed venue, he is willing to go to any public debate organize by the two of them.

Yong stressed that a public debate would be an appropriate venue for DAP Sabah leaders to debate with him on pressing issues affecting Sabah, instead of smearing SAPP and its leaders (Yong in particular) behind him, like cowards.

Besides this, Yong also urged Wong to stop making empty promises to the people, such as boasting that he can solve the Sulu issue in one day.

“Any Sabahan with intelligence will know that this is definitely impossible,” said Yong.
