Sacked from PKR, Khalid to meet Selangor Sultan on Monday

SHAH ALAM - Tan Sri Khalid Ibrahim will meet the Sultan of Selangor Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah tomorrow (August 11) to discuss his status as mentri besar.

The meeting is expected to be held at Istana Kayangan after Selangor's Royal Council Advisor holds a meeting to discuss the issue at 9am tomorrow.

"I will continue my job as mentri besar and will make a statement after tomorrow's meeting," he said.

Khalid was speaking to reporters during a Tabung Haji event at the Shah Alam mosque today. Sultan Sharafuddin was also present at the event.

He reiterated his statement on Saturday that he accepts the decision by Parti Keadilan Rakyat to sack him even though the move was wrong and not in accordance with the law and the party's constitution.

Commenting on whether he was going to appeal to the party on his sacking, Khalid said his main priority is to focus on his position as mentri besar and the administration of the state government.

Khalid said he was advised by his lawyer not to make any statement that could interfere with a possible future lawsuit.
