A little girl aged 7 has not only survived a plane crash, but got herself up and walked for help after seeing that her family was dead.
The horrific incident, which took place on January 2, 2015 in Kuttawa, Kentucky, killed her parents Marty, 48, and Kimberly Gutzler, 46, along with her 9-year-old sister Piper and, a cousin, Sierra Wilder, 14. They were all from Nashville, Illinois.
Bleeding and injured, Sailor Gutzler, who's being called as the miracle survivor, had walked barefoot about a kilometre in freezing temperature below 40 degrees through dense woods at night, in a short-sleeve and shirt, shorts, before she reached a house, belonging to man named Larry Wilkins, ABC News reported.
Dr. Jennifer Ashton said that it was miracle such a young girl was able to endure all that and still walk. It was a fight or flight response, where she was likely driven by adrenaline.
After Sailor reached Wilkins' house, she told him what happened and he immediately called 911 and tried to get her warm and cleaned up.
Kentucky State Police Lt. Brent White told the Associated Press, that it was absolutely amazing that even after she literally fell out of the sky into a dark hole and didn't have anybody, she had her own will to live and get help for her family.
She only suffered non-life threatening injuries and was treated for a broken wrist and released to a family member Saturday morning, and White said she was "coherent and calm" throughout the interview by authorities.
