SAPP Tandek donates to Ranau mud-flood victims

RANAU - Sabah Progressive Party (SAPP) Tandek recently distributed humanitarian aid in the form of rice and mineral water to earthquake and mudslide victims in Ranau.

A convoy of two 4-wheel drive vehicles, an SUV as well as a 10-ton lorry laden for 13 tons containing of rice, 600 cartons of bottled water had traveled to the distribution site escorted by two police outriders from Kota Marudu.

The said humanitarian aid was a mission carried out in collaboration with Tung Fatt Lion Dance Association (Bumiputra), Kota Marudu.

Japiril Suhaimi, the representative from the village, who is also the SAPP Ranau CLC chairman, was present to receive the donation.

He said the aid will be distributed to the victims of the earthquake and mudslides, before the Hari Raya holidays. Japiril is also SAPP Treasurer-General.

According to SAPP Tandek CLC Chairman John Charles Mitah Mikat who is also the adviser of Kota Marudu Tung Fatt Association said the aid should be able to ease the burden of the affected villagers.

Besides this, the joint mission also donated RM6,000 to Kampung Lobo Timbuo for the purchase of poly-pipes for the construction of gravity pipeline to provide water for 420 residents from 60 houses in the area.
